"As pragmatic as it is compassionate, this intimate, humorous, and ultimately relaxing invitation to re-wild yourself, stripping away all that is not your true nature, will leave you inspired and curious to discover the wild woman within" (Lissa Rankin, MD, New York Times bestselling author of Mind Over Medicine). For many women today, achieving a successful career, a fulfilling romantic relationship, and a rewarding personal life can feel like an unattainable goal. The pressure to "have it all" wreaks havoc on our bodies and emotional well-being, and also creates unrealistic expectations. Toxic comparisons and the need to perform enforces damaging ideals of who and what we should be, making it harder for us to connect with who we really are. But what if there was a way to break free from these patterns and beliefs? What if you could free your body from stress and trauma, tap into your inherent creativity, and connect more authentically with the people who matter? In this life-changing book, intimacy expert and counselor Michaela Boehm shares practical rituals and exercises to show you simple, everyday changes that will revolutionize your connection to yourself, your life, and your relationships. Beyond the outdated stereotypes of femininity lies the ancient wisdom of the Wild Woman archetype, a path to reconnecting with our "body intelligence." In this book, you will learn to: - Re-wild yourself by connecting to who you really are and integrating body, emotions, and mind for powerful expression in the world. - Switch effortlessly between "doing" and "being," allowing you to access both empowered success and personal fulfillment. - Unlock creativity and intuition through understanding how body, heart, and mind can work together. - Engage in relaxed, body-specific exercises that help you connect with yourself and your chosen relationships.

Essay from the year 2010 in the subject Politics - International Politics - Topic: European Union, grade: 1,7, Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen, language: English, abstract: Certainly, at least in Europe and the United States, democracy is taken for granted. Not only is our political system democratic, our entire society is democratically organized. Our current understanding of democracy came about as a result of the emergence of the European nation-state. The functioning of modern democracy is consistent with the political system of the state. In the twentieth century the transforming processes of globalization, including the empowering of global institutions as well as technological revolution, influenced the role and functioning of the modern nation state. A new complexity and greater number of actors appeared on the world stage and the term 'government' was increasingly regarded as inappropriate in capturing political reality. The differentiated governance approach is more likely to be capable of dealing with complexity. But what are the effects on democracy? This term paper argues that change from 'government' to 'governance' forces a change in the concept of democracy as well. To prove this assumption the European Union is closely examined.

Essay from the year 2011 in the subject Politics - International Politics - General and Theories, grade: 1,3, Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen, language: English, abstract: Legitimacy theory has developed from a western human centric point of view. The initial question was how to control human beings. In answer to this question, the nation state - a hierarchical ordered construct - was invented. The concept of legitimacy refers to the people's acceptance of this political entity. Thus, the concept of political legitimacy is historically bound to the nation state and its political system. Recent developments attempt to question this. This becomes most obvious when it comes to the global problems we are facing. We live in a complex global governance system and affecting decisions are made by global organizations beyond the nation state. Just as the state is no longer capable of controlling and managing society anymore I argue that the society is no longer capable of controlling the decisions made within - or beyond - a nation state. Neither our traditional tools of domestic democracy, nor such instruments as state consent on a global level are longer sufficient.
